Hmm… as for that business about ads on the front page… for the last couple of months, my News and Observer has already had ads on the front page! In the form of those annoying stickers. Are these only on home-delivery copies? Bah! I’d rather have honest-to-goodness ads at the bottom of the page than have to peel off those things.
Not a major gaffe. I would accept advertising along the bottom. I think Kirk’s point is that this is a slippery slope. BTW, I get the N&O but I don’t get the stickers.
