I am not sure you want their endorsement, Will, based on what I read. If they can't endorse you then it is their loss, not yours.

Sierra Club has gone way downhill IMO. This is just another nail in the coffin, and why I quit supporting them 20 years ago.

I'll be fine working with Council on our mutual interests.

I will, though, work on behalf of our residents for fiscal responsibility, public accountability and reasonable oversight. If that means disagreeing with the current crowd - so be it.

In terms of the environment - I was on the side of measurable criteria for meeting energy efficiency, fuel reductions, LFG use, the Town protecting trees, etc.

As far as support, I'm doing fine Ruby. It's not like you, Tom and Brian were enthusiastic last run. But I'm not running to be invited to all the swell parties, I'm running because the majority of our Council has adopted policies that make it tougher to live in Chapel Hill (unless you're rich), didn't follow through on environmental commitments, ignored simple cost reductions or just plain back-fired. No matter how you sugarcoat it, I guess it's never easy to hear that one of your buddies made a mistake.

Thanks for the comment, though, it's always nice to know where one stands.

As I've been saying, Will - you've lost a lot of support in the last two years. Now that we have seen you operate, a lot of us find it harder to trust you. And you have also shown that you are not likely to be able to cooperate with fellow Council members, so no matter how right you are, you won't be able to pass he legislation we all might want.

Plus, you are running in a much more competitive race this year! I'll be surprised if you get any of the endorsements you had last time (although I can't remember what they were).

I'm happy to get it out there. The League videos have already gotten - at least according to Google reports - 90 and 45 unique views. According to my own stats - based on embedded views - it's probably more than 100 each. That's 100 potential voters getting the unfiltered response of the candidates.

That's pathetic.

I'm glad you are a good enough man to post their video for them...Ray.

Yep, never went by Ray. I'm afraid getting my name wrong was just one of many interesting discontinuities in the Sierra Club process.

I wonder why the political committee wasn't willing to publish the forum online in time for their membership to weigh in but at least they are willing to let me help now.

I'll be posting it sometime after Tues.
