Even knowing it was coming, I was stunned at the clear-cut carnage has been Southern Community Park. There is one pathetic little cluster of trees out in the middle, and I can’t help but wonder if next July everyone isn’t sitting around talking about how hot the play area is and wouldn’t it be nice if they had kept some shade trees.
THAT is the price of not being involved in local politics I guess.
