   Thanks for posting that info!

   It would be interesting to know if the time warner folks could produce an mpeg2 file that meets those criteria and burn that to a DVD-R instead of burning a traditional DVD format. Might have to ask about that next time I organize a candidate forum.

   Also for Windows, it appears that you need to use mplayer to get the vob or mpeg before using avidemux or tmpgenc to encode the vob or mpeg.

   mplayer -dvd-device E:\ dvd://1 -v -dumpstream -dumpfile filename.mpeg

   I’m new on this and having problems with Avidemux. Where do you put the instruction mplayer -dvd-….?
