		<description>Also for Windows, it appears that you need to use mplayer to get the vob or mpeg before using avidemux or tmpgenc to encode the vob or mpeg. 

mplayer -dvd-device E:\ dvd://1 -v -dumpstream -dumpfile filename.mpeg</description>

It would be interesting to know if the time warner folks could produce an mpeg2 file that meets those criteria and burn that to a DVD-R instead of burning a traditional DVD format.  Might have to ask about that next time I organize a candidate forum.
