The Central West Small Area Plan info is on the web
https://www.townofchapelhill.org/government/departments-services/chapel-hill-2020/future-focus-areas/central-west-small-area-plan

The plan is a PDF.

Also, since we have folks who have not yet enjoyed a Development Review experience, here is the ESAB's mission from the Town.  It's important to keep in mind that our comments to the Town Council need to revolve around our mission.

The charge of the environmental stewardship advisory board is to assist the Chapel Hill Town Council in strengthening environmentally responsible practices that protect, promote and nurture our community and the natural world through advice and program support.

Please anticipate that the meeting could be 3 1/2 - 4 hours long Thursday.

Thanks, John!  Please remind the Aura people that the Central West Small Area Plan is part of the Town’s Comprehensive Plan, so the Aura Concept Plan must meet the requirements of the Central West SAP.  It is my opinion that their present plan fails to meet this requirement.

Hi ESAB:

Click here to view the agenda and materials for your virtual meeting on Thursday, March 18th. A Zoom invitation will come from Scott Clark or Amy Harvey, and you may already have this in your inbox.

The agenda includes three development review applications and a request from Council that you develop and share by April 1st your top priorities for 2021-2025. Please see the details about each project below.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,

John

I have noted the items that are still forthcoming for each project, and I expect EMPs and one-pagers early next week ahead of the meeting. I will share any and all materials as soon as I receive them.

Top 3 Priorities for 2021-2025 to Share with Council

  • In the past this has been a set of annual priorities. This year the Council has requested your top 3 priorities over the next five years.

  • If it’s useful, I’ve attached the priorities from the last couple of years. Seeing your priority to “support the Climate Action Plan”, you may also be interested to reference the draft Climate Action + Response Plan – particularly the top priorities on page 4 and the vision “milestones” described within each of the detailed action pages. The revised version will include more detail about what’s happening between now and 2025, but it’s not ready to share. That said, I’m happy to talk about timing when we meet.
